I have discovered through my explorations, that by playing with translucency, opacity, and placement of the light in the box—I could manipulate what is seen and perceived. By illuminating a focal point, I create an interesting and mysterious landscape, revealing possibilities that placing glass in a window simply cannot achieve. These glass paintings capture a moment--the full moon lit by the setting sun, reflects softly on the water below, or the sunrise puctuates the dawn.
