Throughout time, colored glass has elevated the human experience, by telling stories, as used in rituals and in daily life. Randie Silverstein describes her fused glass paintings as incomplete until touched by the hand of the divine-- in the form of light, giving glass its spirit and revealing its essence. Randie discovered through her explorations, that by playing with translucency, opacity, and placement of the light in the box—she could manipulate what is seen and perceived. By illuminating a focal point, Randie creates an interesting and mysterious landscape, revealing possibilities that placing glass in a window simply cannot achieve. These paintings yearn to capture a moment, as the full moon lit by the setting sun, reflects softly on the water below, or the sunrise puctuates the dawn.

These lovely fused glass panels are encased in a wooden shadow frame and backlit with LED. Each box comes with a plug in light, and a very long cord so you can hang it on any wall, on a simple nail or picture hook within a reasonable distance from an outlet. These pieces are not for sale, as I am getting ready for a solo show that opens December 5, 2025. After that, these works will be for sale-- check back.
