Project: Fused glass mirror frame
No glass or art experience needed!
Wednesday March 25
10am-2:30pm
I’ve acquired a bit of mirror glass recently so I thought it might be fun to make frames for them! The mirror and glass will be mounted to a wooden plaque and will hang from a wire attached to the back. This is a project based class.
8 student limit
$165. Materials and firings included.
Exploring the Magic of Glass: Fused Glass Basics
No glass or art experience needed!
Tuesday April 7
10am-2:30pm
In this session we will make a fused glass plate that will be slumped into a mold of a shape you pick or a hanging panel you can hang on the wall or window. You’ll learn about the glass, how to score and break it, and be introduced to all the tools. Come with an idea, or just go-with-the-flow— I’ll help you be successful in choosing your project. Small class size makes for individual attention and help with bringing your ideas to the glass. Take this time for you to enjoy the creative process, and just relax into the day. Come with a friend, or make new ones here!
8 Student limit

2-Day Workshop: Creating images w/ Frit & Powder
Tues. & Thurs. April 21 & 23
10am-1pm
Prerequisite: You’ve taken one class with me or have previous glass experience
This advanced workshop will explore creating images using glass parts we make ourselves and subsequently use to create an image in glass. The first session explores crushed glass, frit and powders, their properties, and all are fired that evening. The following session, we unload the kiln and incorporate what we’ve fired, into an image that becomes a hanging or standing panel. Students may use sheet glass, parts they made, stringers and frit to create their images.
*Mahogany stand available for purchase: $30. They are handcrafted by me. There are less expensive options on Etsy for this. Hanging panels won’t need one.
6 Student limit
Cost: $295. includes materials & firings
